Thank You, Philly!
After nearly 20 years at the corner of South Street and Passyunk Avenue and after hundreds of amazing celebrations, heartbreaks and everything in between in the world of Philly sports, the Woolly Mammoth has officially ended its operations effective May 14, 2025. This decision did not come easily, but all good things come to an end.
We cannot fully express our gratitude to our amazing customers for being the soul of the Woolly Mammoth and for making it everything it has been over the years. No single place has served as a more unique, diverse and purely incredible gathering place for all to enjoy over the decades. It has been an honor to serve you and welcome you as part of our Woolly Mammoth family.
We have been your home to a Phillies World Series Championship and TWO Eagles Super Bowl wins in our time on South Street. We have ridden the wave of Philly Sports with you all for those years in between, but if one thing is certain it’s that we solidified ourselves as the Best Damned Sports Bar in Philly…now and forever!
We remember all our friends and colleagues that left us too soon and know their memories will continue to live on in each of you who knew them.
To the Woolly staff (past and present), you are the best and nothing would have been possible without each and every one of you, so thank you!
While the Woolly Mammoth will no longer call this famous corner our home, our presence will hopefully live on forever in memories made and stories to be told for years to come.
So, it is with mixed emotions we take our final bow and say, “Thank You, Philly.” We hope you will always Remember the Woolly!
